Yes, I write poetry. I have been doing so for a few months now. It's just something I've picked up on. This one here was written for someone very special to me, but it could be written for anyone who doesn't think they are beautiful. It's entitled: Your Beauty

Beauty it comes from within
People look at only the skin
Some say beauty is only skin deep
But inward beauty is what you keep
Whether you wear make-up or not
I see right through to what you’ve got
You are beautiful in every way
You’re beauty it will never decay.

This next Poem is not the next one that I wrote, but the others in between are confidential and will not be displayed one this blog. This one is entitled, Priceless:

Friends are for the happy times
That pass on through our years
Friends are for the sad times
And the many fallen tears
Friends are for decisions
From difficult to easy
And also those choices
That might make us feel queasy
Friends are those who tell you the truth
Even when it hurts
But also know when to keep silent
Even when they want to blurt
They stay with you up through the night
When you are feeling down
And they’re the ones who make you smile
Even when you want to frown
They’re there for you through thick and thin
For whatever comes your way
And even when others leave
They’re the ones who want to stay
They’re there for you to lean on
And for them to lean on you
They are extremely priceless
Especially when they are true.

This is #13, it is entitled:

Numbers
Numbers go on through my head
On the go and in my bed
Numbers are essential in everyday life
They go through our minds like a sharp knife
We first learn our numbers one through ten
And those numbers repeat again and again.
Ten is for the 10 commandments that we are to obey
Nine is for 99 the did not, from the flock, stray
Turn 8 on its side and it’s eternity we seek
Seven is for praise, everyday of the week
Six is for the armor of God, down to the peace shoes
Five is for Galatians 5:22, the bunch of spiritual fruits
Four is for Philippians 4:13, where God gives us strength most
Three is for the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Two is for marriage, 2 people, one bod
One is for the, 1 true God
Ten to one and one to ten
These numbers repeat again and again
God’s word uses numbers a lot
Some of these numbers have been forgot
But I will not forget these numbers
Most people, by these, are encumbered
I have cut those strings loose and I am free
God made me free, and I am free indeed.

The Keys
The keys to my heart are yours for the taking
As long as your love is real and not faking
Several keys to several doors
From the skin of my heart, to the very core.
The first key opens the very first lock
Just turn the key, there is no need to knock.
Through that door you will find all the love
That’s been given to me from all my friends and from God above.
Walk through that room, if you can, and then go
Unlock the next door where water does flow
This water it comes from the tears in my eyes
So swim through that room and unlock the device
That comes between you and the next room
And open it up where flowers do bloom
Flowers of all different shapes and designs
From the rarest of rare
To the ones with you in mind
Walk or stop and smell the flowers
You may stay for hours and hours
But if you choose to move along
Through the next door you will hear a song
A song that, when I hear, I think of you
And when I hear it all I can do
Is dance with the joy I feel inside
All happy feelings just seem to collide
And through the next door, there sits a small table
You can see it quite clear, it needs no label
It’s my poetry room, you may sit and read
But please, o please, there is no need
Moving along to the very core
A special key was made for this door
It is made of the purest of gold
And encased for you your hands to hold
You enter this room and it’s me that you’ll see
With tears in my eye beholding your beauty
I say that I love you, and give you the keys
To enter my heart whenever you please.
